Walton Music Studio

Erin Walton began to study the violin at the young age of 5 and primarily studied the Suzuki method, the primary method she uses with her own students. She spent several years studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music before moving with her family to the Kansas City area.

Erin began studying the piano at the age of 10 and used several different methods throughout her years of study. The Keith Snell Piano Repertoire series remains her favorite.

Erin has been teaching privately for 10 years, 6 of those years in the Lee's Summit area. In addition to the private studio, Erin has also taught strings in the classroom for grades 5-12.

Erin brings to her teaching a background in Early Childhood Education and a lifetime love of music. She desires the same type of love to develop in each of her students along with their technique and musicianship.

Walton Music Studio has served the Lee's Summit, MO area since 2001. Before 2001, Erin Walton taught in Ashland, Ohio and Orange City, Iowa for a total of 4 years.

The goal of Walton Music Studio is to provide a well-rounded musical education to its students. Students learn to read music and rhythm, sight read, and perform through a variety of musical activities. Each student also studies music theory, composition and history.
